This was a fun little project that used stills from classic movies to make unique digital collages. The challenge with this project was for the students to completely reimagine the original images, creating a unique composition.
The students had to choose one classic movie still that I provided. They then used images and textures to recreate the scenes. A small portion of the original subject needed to be visible, but fabrics, props and settings needed to be changed.
The students did a great job, reinventing the scenes and giving them new context. I love how they turned out. You can see some of the final products below as well as a tutorial to make your own.
